“‘Don’t Change happened when Jonathan Hay and Mike Smith played me this amazingly beautiful track. It was right in the midst of me still trying to recover from losing my best friend [Prince Be] and also losing probably the greatest love of my life in the same year. So with this song, I therapeutically put the pen to the pad and extracted the pain from my body and put it into the song. And I must mention that the young lady’s voice takes my breath away.” – Doc G of P.M. Dawn as told to AllHipHop
